How can I help my company reduce hundreds or even thousands of dollars in energy waste each year?
You can start by Powering Down your monitor when you’re away from your office and at night when it’s not in use. (Even when your computer is off, your monitor can still be on). Each monitor turned off saves about $18 per year!
The next step your company can take is to sign the Smart Energy Now® Declaration of Change. This one-page document is a commitment by your company’s management team to lead by example by reducing their own energy waste. It is also a commitment to encourage Charlotte workers to make a difference across uptown by participating in energy-saving activities during the work day. In turn, we will be there to support your efforts with tips, materials, and strategies along the way.
By signing the Declaration of Change, and engaging in a Smart Energy Now® project in your office, your company is joining a collective effort that currently includes thousands of individuals across uptown.
- Makes business sense;
- Promotes economic development; and
- Protects the future of our planet leading to sustainable energy for all.
We welcome to the Smart Energy Now® team our company partners that have already signed the Declaration, including:
- Our three newest company partners: Accenture, Falfurrias Capital Partners, and the City of Charlotte,
- Mercer, Marsh, The Duke Endowment, Hunton & Williams, Spectrum Properties, Compuware, Shaw Power, Perficient, Inc, Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, Packard Place, Children & Family Services, and the Charlotte City Partners!
