How can I help my company reduce hundreds or even thousands of dollars in energy waste each year?

You can start by Powering Down your monitor when you’re away from your office and at night when it’s not in use. (Even when your computer is off, your monitor can still be on).  Each monitor turned off saves about $18 per year!

The next step your company can take is to sign the Smart Energy Now® Declaration of Change. This one-page document is a commitment by your company’s management team to lead by example by reducing their own energy waste.  It is also a commitment to encourage Charlotte workers to make a difference across uptown by participating in energy-saving activities during the work day.  In turn, we will be there to support your efforts with tips, materials, and strategies along the way.
